More like a survival camp to me.

Sec 3 Leadership Camp @ Bintan Loola , 3D2N

HELLO. It's an awesome camp if you look at it on the overall. HAHA. I will miss every single activity there EXCEPT FOR it's food, toilets and beds. Seriously, I think everybody learnt how to appreciate Singapore better after this camp. But a 3D2N life at a countryside of a foreign land is really really enjoyable and less hectic. I'm thankful for this camp because it's the only time when you can really throw your mind away for 3 days, and enjoy the water activities there which you can never enjoy it in Singapore. 3F did things a little differently from all the other classes. 3F's really much more bonded than before after this camp. :) Following will be pictures taken over these 3D2N with a little elaboration on each. A picture speaks a thousand words. See how we survived. See how we bond. See how we camwhore even at night on bed. See how we finally overcome fears and obstacles. See how we become the 3F we are now. :D

Let me bring you thru the 3 days I've been thru. :) Slowly, in chronological order. ^^ First off would be the ferry ride which was horrendous ttm. But still, we never fail to camwhore. :D

Both me and Shuhui were dizzy after a mere 10 minutes on the ferry after it had started sailing. Butbut, we didn't vomit because we're strong girls. (Y)

After we arrived at Bintan's Ferry Terminal, we immediately settled for a 2-hours-horrendous-bus-ride to Loola Resort. And finally, we reached. Really. A magnificent sight greeted us. :D Totally beautiful. I haven't seen such scenery for quite a while. LOL. That's why. HAHA. Alright, settled down in our respective dormitories and -poof- off we go, for the first activity of the day : THE FLYING FOX !


Took a short walk from the dorms to the place where the flying fox was. After a short briefing, we're all ready to fly down, into the pool. HAHA.

The few of the different faces that they gave when they were in the pool. Some were quite epic. But didn't manage to capture them. HAHA.

Cartoon them. LOL. They're trying to give Ms Kate some encouragement. :) ! HAHA. After which, we headed to the COCONUT TREE CLIMBING.


I don't have any pictures related to coconut tree climbing. Most of them are with Ms Serena I think. So ya, maybe a few pictures of my classmates! :D

Okay no, she's not my classmate. HAHA. She's our trainer from Singapore! Danny? Should be lah. HAHA. Idk how to spell her name. ^^

They got bored, so that explains the picture. LOL. Shannon climbed the coconut tree like a typical kampong boy omg. He managed to climb up there, pop the balloon, and made it down within 30 seconds. Imba or imba? I guess he's both! Mad awesome. HAHA. I wasn't my usual self when I did the tree climbing. Cos if it's the usual me, I would have screamed and give up halfway but no, I didn't! :D I climbed all the way up, with the help of Ian and Helixman giving me instructions from below. Omg, they look like small cute little boys when I was up in the coconut tree. HAHAHA. Fun! I wished I had one more chance. :D 


Had a quick bath in the yucky toilets. Seriously can't stand it. But, no matter what I still have to bathe cos I stink. x.x So had a quick one. NOW I APPRECIATE THE BEAUTIFUL TOILETS IN SINAPORE. Szerelem, Steady, Celestine and I was talking about the toilets and Szerelem were like : "Next time, we shall all donate money to here, and let them renovate the toilets into better ones." Ziman went : "And you shall be the toiletwoman! :D" LOLOL.  Had dinner and after that was free and easy. 

Was walking around aimlessly until Adrian and Yvan came to me and say : "Want to see stars?" Being the usual me who's interested in astronomy, I went with them to the open field next to the canteen and looked up. YOU'LL NEVER KNOW HOW MANY STARS I SAW. 

Adrian : " Count the stars la. I counted. 87. "

Me : "Really?" -counting- " Only 54 ley. "

Yvan : "You concentrate on one star, and the rest beside it will disappear."

Me : -tried- " Eh really ley! "

Damn, why do I sound like a small kid being fascinated by some kind of toys like that. LOL. But really, suuuuuuuuuper nice. (Y) ! Had debrief afterwards before I continued my aimless walk in the area. Was scaring myself while talking to Jarren in the dark night, cos we saw a light moving in the jungle. LOLOL. Paranoia acting up. HAHA. And it was bedtime afterwards. LOL. 

And that's the end of Day 1. :) !

Prettiest day ever. Woke up at 6 bintan time, an hour before breakfast and took a walk with Zhiyi, Pogsiew, Ziman, Litong, Celestine, Chifa etc out to the beach when it's low tide. Spammed photos again! Had breakfast and we were off to do some CIP work. 

That's right. After a delicious breakfast, we headed to a Scouts School to help them repaint part of their campus. Fun, tiring but yet rewarding. Interactions with them was super duper fun. We spammed photos as usual. And I can say that they scouts there are reallyreally spontaneous. I got yellow paint on my hair and Edwin that faggot who slaps himself went : " You're going to turn yellow soon. " -gives jiaobin- LOL. Went back to Loola and had lunch before we changed into wet attire again for Boomnet. 

Other classes took bus to the jetty while 3F did something a little more special. :) It was raining veryveryvery heavily. And 3F, walked all the way to the jetty thru narrow and disgusting roads in the dense jungles for approximately 1 hour plus under the heavy rain, without any umbrellas or ponchos for most of us. I was screaming all the way behind cos the ground was so disgusting. Flooded narrow roads with shrubs brushing against your legs as you trekked past them. Ew. Nearly fell into the muddy ground, but thanks to Pogsiew, Zhiyi, Ms Kate etc, I didn't. A BIG THANKYOU TO THEM THAT I MANAGED TO SURVIVE THAT TREK. ^^ 

Those pictures depicts the state we were in in the midst of the trek. In those puddles of water shown in the last second picture, they were frantically searching for me and Ms Tan cos fyi, it was knee-deep when I stepped into it. But well, we sang we dance we did stupid things we made fun of each other. These are the things that bond us together, isn't it so? :D

Finally, we reached the jetty. It was madcold ! Jarren turned purple LOL while the rest were shivering and trembling. Including myself. But we stepped onto the boat and after a quick demonstration, we leaped off one by one into the warm seawater. Awesome. The second floor of the boomnet was the shiok-est ! Photos are with Ms Serena yet again. HAHA. Will upload them when I have it. ^^ 

Settled for a quick dinner and campfire was cancelled due to the rain but nevertheless, we had a fun Performance night! We had dance PK, different performances put up by all the classes. Seriously awesome. HAHA. Afterwards was chatting in the canteen with Abu, Huiqing, Tinghiu, Andy, Mikaiel, the guy from 3E, Ziman etc. Before that was a walk alongside the dark beach with Helixman, Andy and Kelvin. HAHA. Awesome. LOL!

Let's begin with the last day.

Last day of camp was rather short. Woke up at around 6 Bintan time. Camwhored again. Breakfast, Skywalk + Obstacle course, Area-Cleanup, Lunch and off we go, to the ferry terminal. And fyeah, Singapore!

Basically, I think that this trip to Bintan has made us appreciate Singapore more and learn not to talk things for granted. Seriously. We had fun yes, we learnt alot too. 3F, rock on! :D

Anyway was shocked ttm when I reached home, on the computer and saw this saddening and heart-wrenching news that an earthquake of magnitude 8.9 struck Japan which gave rise to erupting volcanoes and life-consuming tsunamis. This particular earthquake affected half of the globe. Sadly, it's most probably caused by the moon because it was so near to the Earth and ya, it affected everything. Sad ttm. -fingers crossed- Hope it's soon be over.
